Live Painting at Anderson Mall's first Annual BBQ and Bluegrass
Food Trucks. Craft and Domestic Beer from Growler Haus. Live Music from Cane Creek Bluegrass Band. Big Screen Football. Yard Games. Cornhole Tournaments. Bounce Houses. I was so excited to be a part of this first time event at Anderson Mall.
I painted a 24" x 36" double bass while listening to the bluegrass band on stage in front of me. The afternoon sun was warm and my paints dried quickly. I started and finished the painting during the event, and talked to lots of people as I worked.
This program is part of the Canvas Project, an initiative by the mall to bring local art and creativity to their patrons. I hope that I'll be able to come back to the mall for the event next year. I am so excited that I was able to participate. Per my contract, the painting and all the rights to the art becomes property of the mall. I can't create prints of this artwork, but I enjoyed painting the bass so much that might paint another like it soon!
