Saxophone in Lavender
Regular price$30.00 Sale price

The saxophone was invented by Adolphe Sax in the 1840s, and it has always fascinated me with its bold curves and intricate keywork. In this painting, lavender and gold move across the instrument's surface. The lavender adds a soft, dreamy quality, while the gold brings warmth and catches the reflective quality of the metal. I paid close attention to the shadows and highlights to convey the saxophone's shiny texture.
