Gold and Silver Piccolo

The piccolo may be small, but painting its metallic surface is a real technical challenge. I used a tight interplay of gold and silver hues, yellows, grays, and muted whites, to capture the way light moves across the instrument's body. The shimmer feels both realistic and alive.
