This is a painting of one of my husband's favorite guitars. The original measures 11" x 27" and is done at mostly life size. I painted from the guitar hanging on our wall. The headstock's tuning pegs and curves were a joy to capture, and I chose a palette of warm browns and amber highlights to reflect the rich tone of the wood. The contrast between the metal elements and the soft wood grain gives the piece a dynamic quality.
